The HT4S from Fosi Audio is a compact integrated amplifier with 5 channels capable of delivering 30W each thanks to several TPA3116 amplifier chips.

For even greater flexibility, the HT4S can alternate between 5.0 and 4.1, allowing you to use it in a 5-speaker full-range configuration or reserve one of the channels for a passive subwoofer. Furthermore, the HT4S has a pre-out so you can connect an active subwoofer and enjoy a 5.1 surround configuration.

Finally, for even more versatility, the HT4S offers a Bluetooth input in addition to the Toslink optical input and the 3.5mm jack auxiliary input. As an aesthetic touch, the light strip on the front of the device changes colour according to the input used: blue for Bluetooth, orange for the auxiliary input and red for the optical input.

Fosi Audio HT4S: FLAT or SUB mode

The subwoofer function of the Fosi Audio HT4S can be activated via a selector switch for a 4.1 configuration using the speaker terminals. FLAT mode allows the 5 terminals to output the full frequency range, while SUB mode applies a crossover to the 5th terminal to output a 20Hz-300Hz signal for coupling a passive subwoofer. Use of the FLAT mode, meanwhile, offers the possibility of a 5.1 system using an active subwoofer with the 3.5mm pre-out jack output.
