This is normal since the transmitter ALC circuits are not modified. Transmitter audio is very clean.I have owned this IC751A for more than 15-years. When I received it, the former owner had installed a piece of wood on a choke to prevent the display from not functioning. See picture with screwdriver pointing to the choke and wood.
